How to input code for Samsung U900

Does anyone know the 100% correct method for inputting the Factory codes for Samsung into the Samsung U900?

I have been advising my customers that the following are correct:

#7465625*638*CODE# or *#7465625*638*CODE#

A customer has contacted me and advised that she has done this for her Virgin UK locked Samsung U900 and that her handset is still locked.

She has sent me the following info:
Quote:
I typed in *#7465625# into my phone and it displays me the following...

I used the method for 3g as described in your paperwork. I used the 2nd code as you requested:

1. [off] Network lock
2. [off] Subset lock
3. [on] SP lock
4. [off] cp lock

Any sim other than virgin registers incorrect sim SP lock.
I found out also that to remove the sp lock it is a different code form what you supplied me. To deactivate the sp lock I need to use the code #7465625*77*code#
Anyone care to shed any light as this is baffling me.
She has said she can send a video of her performing the unlock method described to prove it wont work.

@ John: can you verify the codes for the following IMEI: 352442023176579.
It relates to the issue within this email. It was a Samsung factory code purchase.

Thanks

what i think is, that your customer is right and same time your code is correct aswell, but due to wrong attempts, phone should be displaying PHONE FREEZE. now you have to enter an incorrect sim card and when it will prompt you PHONE FREEZE just simply type in UNFREEZ CODE. and job will be done. Please check with your customer, and ask them to enter incorrect sim card and i am sure phone will display PHONE FREEZE. To enter UNFREEZE code you dont have to type in #7465625*638* simply type in the code and press ok.

In the case it's phone freeze problem, for U900 have to enter code 1 and then code 2, but have to put original sim card in phone, and enter this code after PIN Code (tested & working for F490 Phone Freeze this week by me, so should work for U900 too)

I think you sent her NCK unlock code and she needs SP unlock, in most of the cases supplyers getting us NCK, we here in Canada have Fido network which locks phones with both NCK and SP , and 3G phones can only be unlocked by EU Box ,since its reading both codes, so she most likely right and that is wrong code (its NCK code) not SP

Can john answer the query above please? If this is the case then we'll be needing a full refund on this purchase.

I've been wondering about this as well... We only get two codes, where the first one is claimed to be the mastercode used for unfreezing, and the other is NET code. What about SUB code?

BTW: On U900 i think you can just enter the code when it says wrong SIM.

Customer has actually advised that the handset is not frozen. I have therefore requested that she input the second code again for clarification.
She uses web forums quite a lot and seems to have a fair amount of knowledge on input etc which leads me to believe that she is being genuine with her query.

I can confirm that this is a problem with Samsung. Supplier only gives Network lock code, which means that this service is unusable for phones that has any other locks activated.

I think many people haven't noticed this problem yet - because subnet lock won't stop you from using the phone unless you use a simcard from a sub-carrier of the same network the phone was locked to. So for everyone who is switching to a completely different carrier, the network unlock will work fine... But if the switch again in the future to a subcarrier of the original provider their phone will be locked... So i think we'll see some complains in the future...

I really hope this issue can be fixed, because i don't think i can sell codes for samsung if they are not completely unlocking the phone. At least not for that price.

STILL waiting on a response from John @ Soft4GSM. I wonder if he can liaise with Samsung supplier for clarification, otherwise I may have to stop ordering the codes also.

I didn't come back to both of you at the moment because I'm trying to know more about this problem.

For sure what we deliver for Samsung is :

Code 1 : Unfreeze
Code 2 : NCK Code

I know very few samsung ask for SPCK, and this case it's not possible to unlock using Factory Code..... We know it's the case for all phone from FIDO Canada, and now we have some doubt about phone from Ireland (need to be confirmed). At the moment I don't have an answer from the source about this case...... (he just come back and he's still busy to take time for me)

We'll know more soon don't worry (and I will try get a refund for those who order code for Samsung who need SPCK, I'm pretty sure I will success as it is a good reason but then will have to maintain a database of network provider who lock samsung on SPCK level)

After speak with my Samsung suplier, he promise me to try update or find a way to get the other level and specialy the SPCK level, but until it was possible, I just add this alert when you select Samsung on UnlockBase :

---------
Before request a code for Samsung, please check the status of lock of your samsung by pressing : *#7465625#

Something like this will appear :

1. [***] Network lock
2. [***] Subset lock
3. [***] SP lock
4. [***] cp lock

Where *** = Value ON or OFF

Please request code for Samsung only if it is the "Network lock" (NCK) that was ON as we are only able to provide code for this level. By experience, all phone from FIDO Canada and some Samsung from Ireland are locked on the level "Subset Network" (SPCK) so please do not request code for theses or you will get a not working code.
-------------------

Wafty : I just refund you 15 Credits for the order regarding IMEI : 352442023176579
