Problems unlocking N82 - won't enter local mode

I'm trying to unlock a N82, but it won't enter local mode...

I have tried two different cables (normal + "bb5 universal kit"), but same problem with both: Phone just starts up normally when i connect the cable.

Is there something special with this phone? N95 8GB etc works fine...

simple methode unlock it with cable usb








Part one- dongle installing
1. Unzip to any folder BB5_TRK_unlocker.zip
3. start install.bat
4. Start BB5CardInfo.exe and click button "Get Info"
5. Copy your serial number and send to reseller . Reseller will provide for you Key file for your dongle.
6. Copy key file on folder where you unzip BB5Cad.zip .
7. Start KeyInstall.bat.
8. Start BB5CardInfo.exe "Get Info". You must get message " Card key is OK! "

Part two- phone preparation
1. You must have Nokia data suit because Dejan soft using driver from data suit and to install TRK file
2. After this you need to install s60_3_1_app_trk_2_8_6.sisx or s60_3_1_app_trk_2_8_9.sisx . Which file need to install depending of phone software.
First is for older second is for newer phones .You don't need to know joust try to install and one of this must pass instillation.
3. If you have installed data suit and phone connected with usb cable to PC, just click twice on s60_3_1_app_trk_2_8_6.sisx or s60_3_1_app_trk_2_8_9.sisx
and installation will start automatically. Confirm all message on phone.

4. Find in your phne where is application installed and start the TRK application. Example in N81 8gb path is MENU/APPLICATION/TRK
in some phone MENU/APPLICATION/MY OWN/TRK
5. When you start you will get message "activate blutooth in offline mode" press key NO.
6. Press OPTION button and select SETTINGS and in CONNECTION field change to USB and press button BACK.
7. Close TRK and start again
8. You must have screen like this. I copy this from Nokia N81 8GB:

LDD:EUSBC
CSY:ECACM
Port number :1
Baud rate: 115200

Part three- unlocking phone.

1. Connect phone to PC with usb cable and start TRK application.
2. Start BB5_TRK_unlocker.exe
3. Clik on button "Read Phone" and you will get phone info on screen.
4. For safety reason click on button " Make Backup". If something goes wrong to have backup for phone.
5. Click on button " SP Unlock" . Wait until on screen not have message " If everything is OK,...."
6. On phone press key for OPTION select with cursor Hello World and confirm .
7. In few seconds you will have UNLOCKED PHONE !!!!!!

Of course i already tried with USB, but it says that phone model is not supported... Are you sure it's supposed to be supported using USB?

i want to know if this solution is working for unlocking nokia e71 locked on fastweb italy?

N82 is 2 MCU simbian phone and can be unlocked only with F-bus cable .
For enter local mode BSI resistor must be 7.5 to 8.2 Kohm and cable must be with 6 or 7 pin .

how can i use bb5 trk unlocker 1.01 for fbus.i have 1 credit,pkey and jaf only.when i used finally itsays not supported.is it necessory dk smart card to unlock via fbus cable

same credits can be used with trk usb or jaf ....depending which program u execute, u will see the credits u have r the same shown in both sw.

if more help needed, catch on msn or sonork

i have exactly the same problem...phone can not stand on local mode...i used 8,2kohms resistor and 7,5 khoms...some test doing with 10komhs but always the same result.

done via fbus cable with 10k resistors

PUT 10K or 2 X 5.5K and you will be fine ,... i have done many in seconds after modifying cable...Local mode , Test mode all ok
