Dead 5200

unlocked a couple of phones with jaf plus, great, well cant do a 6280 as yet, but i just tried a 5200, it was having trouble going into local mode, but i tried it twice and then it stopped responding, i rebuilt the phone, and it does nothing, wont connect to jaf through usb or fbus, i assume the phone is dead, but why? what have i done wrong, can anyone help?

On the screen phone show Local Mode or Not . . . ?
If Yes show then try to resold the on/off switch.

nothing on screen at all, wont charge or anything, makes connection noise on pc when plugged in to usb, but thats it

i now have 2 x 5200 with same fault, i connected the fone, and tested it went to local mode, all ok, then reconnected and placed the data tp on, and presses tp unlock, fone refused local mode, so i tried again, no luck, then disconnected and rebuilt fone, and this to is now dead, i have not touched the chassis with test point, can anyone tell what i am doing wrong please?
