Because a mod. reply in another thread submit a log, here is:

Instruction for root + unlock samsung i8160 v2.3.6

1) Download and install SAMSUNG USB Drivers for Mobile Phones

2) Copy update_su.zip to sdcard.

3) Switch off the phone and enter to download mode ("Vol Down + Home + Power").
Wait until the driver will be installed and Odin will recognize the phone!

4) Flash I8160XXLD8_ready_to_root_ANT.tar.md5 using Odin as PDA part.

5) Turn off the phone again and enter to recovery mode ("Vol Up + Home + Power").

6) Select "apply update from sdcard" and choose update_su.zip file

7) Reboot the phone

8)download root files

9) use microbox to unlock it

This procedure delete some info from phone?

If you write the root patch this will only ROOT the phone, all data will remain intact. I suggest to make a backup before ... you know, just in case.

Hello I rooted the phone but the problem is that not asking unlock netwrok code.
The phone shows:
Enter Network Lock Control Key

00000000 unlock unsuccessful
Any idea?

Try also with uart cable.

Tested with samsung original cable and rj45 c3300k

Maybe the control code isn't network lock
