Okay

I flash a Samsung S8 for a customer the device was on password

I asked him if he was the Ower of the device he said the device was
for his sister he even call and speak with her but I don't talk to her

After unlocking the device he asked me if I will buy the device I said

No that I don't buy device I only fix I later find out after the customer left

A boy in my shop bought the phone few weeks later police came to arrest

The boy in our shop later in an hour the police come looking for me

That's why I was asking because I know changing IMEI is illegal and crime

Any view will be appreciated

Did you flash the phone to remove password or changed imei?
If changing imei is illegal in your country, then you are at fault for changing the imei.
There is nothing wrong to remove forgotten password on a phone and it isn't a crime.

When a client changes their way of thinking and speaking, or says incoherent things, after a repair, the first thing I do is take a picture of the phone and some screenshots of the internal serial system on the screen, if I can I take a photo the person without realizing it. If he returns to cheat, I simply give him away and use the evidence to my advantage. Be very careful with that, the downside of all this, is that if these types of cases continue to occur, they will remove the possibility of legalizing what we do or these Boxes and we will not be able to do it as usual. A lot of pity for what happened!
