3Gs 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 ERROR 3194 - GSM-Forum

Am trying to restore to 3.1.3 But always error 3194. I want to restore tot hat version because when i off the iPhone its always on RECOVERY mode meaning its a new BoOTROm !!

Any suggestion?

1) You must have shsh on cydia, if you have, continue with step 2
2) Open wordpad as admin
3) in wordpad open file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
4) at these lines on the bottom:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

5) connect phone in DFU mode
6) Press save in wordpad al the time so host file will be keept the way we want.
7) press shift and recover button in itunes, and chose firmware
8) Press save in wordpad al the time so host file will be keept the way we want.
9) You can stop press save when you have passed the dialog "contacting apple"
10) when restore is done and you get the low error code 1***
just open irecovery.

in cmd type:
irecovery -s
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
reboot

and phone reboots, and everything works like before

did just fix my phone this way 4.0 to 3.1.3. was activating it in itues when i wrote this after downgrading firmware

make custom file of 3.1.3 with snowbreeze and you can easily restore to 3.1.3 i have done on 5 handsets already

Open this “hosts” file in Notepad (for Windows) or TextEdit (for Mac OS X) and add this
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

tried with snowbreez, I recived error 1600 from itunes 9.2

you have a new boot try to keep your iphone to 3.1.2.
Spirit is on the way.
Only 4.0 will will help you.
Do not do update because apple is releasing 4.0.1 and whe do not know if is unlockable.Be carreful.
