hi
i got iphone for unlocking .... thought its first time runing and it ask for activation .... thought it wont activete cuz i dont have original simcard ...
is ther any way to bypass this ?

k after read alot ....
i have found small app , insert any sim , get itunes iTunes 7.3.0.54 installed
and run this app.

this will not unlock your iphone sim free , but it will pass the anoying activation request , and keep you from doing many emergency calls in order to find wifi conection and access online.

please do not use this on your iphone this will activate the phone but will damadge some critical areas on phone hat will cause errors in unlocking

tested this app yesterday on 1.1 iphone , unactivated.
this soft only active your iphone if you dont have original at&t sim card
install this version of itunes , run this app and it say connect your iphone. connect it with any sim card , itunes should turn on without any error.
after this turn off iphone and turn it back on (fully off)

Bypass activation and prepare phone for software installation
Make sure there's a sim-card inserted, and power on your phone (an AT&T card is already inserted when you buy the phone).
On the activation screen, slide to emergency and dial: *#301# to make the phone call itself. (If the incoming call dialog quickly disappears but it keeps ringing, just dial 0 (remove *#301# first), and it will call itself)
Answer the call, and tap on Hold
Phone will call it self again, tap Decline. You will now be returned to the normal dialer.
Tap on contacts, and tap the + icon to add a new. The only info you are going to add to this contact are two URL's. To add a URL, tap Add new URL. The first URL is prefs followed by a colon: prefs: and the second is jailbreakme.com. Tap Save.
Your contact now has two "web pages" - tap on the first one (prefs. This will take you to the settings dialog. The reason you want this, is because you need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, so tap on Wi-Fi, and get connected to a network, and make sure the icon on top of the screen is indicating that you are connected. While you are in the settings dialog, you should also set: General → Auto-Lock → Never.
Now, press the home button, and again, slide to emergency dial 0, Answer the call, Hold and Decline the new call so that you get to the contacts. Tap on your contact (No Name), and this time tap on the other home page, jailbreakme.com
Safari will launch and show you a webpage. Read through the text, before you Install AppSnapp
Phone will return to activation screen, but don't panic, just wait.
Phone will eventually call it self again, but this time, just restart the phone, by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.
Start the phone again, and you should be taken directly to the home screen! Activation is now bypassed, and phone prepared for software installation!
Unlock the SIM-lock
Open installer, and install the update if prompted.
Go to sources and tap Edit and Add
Add this URL: i.unlock.no
Tap Done and then Refresh
Go to Install (at bottom) and scroll down to the category "System"
Install BSD Subsystem (this may take some time)
When done, go to Unlocking Tools category and install AnySIM (ignore the others, they are already installed if you followed this tutorial)
When installed you can press the home button, and you will find a new AnySIM icon on your home screen. Launch it and follow the instructions.
The unlocking process will take about 5-10 minutes, in the end it should say it was successful!
To clean up your phone, launch Installer, and uninstall AnySIM and BSD Subsystem. Lastly, go to Settings → General → Auto-Lock and set it to a prefered value.
If YouTube does not work ("You must first connect to iTunes..."), install YouTube activation which is found in the Unlocking tools-category(you done ur i-phone unlocking without pc u only need wi-fi network no need to downgrade)

ok so i bought an i phone that was unlocked but when i connected it to my itunes (laptop) i didnt know i wasnt meant to update it and i did!i dont have the original sim!!now my phone doesnt work!on the screen is just the usb icon and itune icon and slide for emergency call!!is my phone broken forever?is there something i can do?please please please help if you can, otherwise i just wasted 400euro!!oh im so worried im freakin out!

Is this an iPhone 2G, 3G or 3GS? Won't just flashing it with redsn0w activate and/or unlock it...??

Update to 3.0, pwn with redsn0w. Possibly download ultrasn0w through Cydia if applicable... Simple as that... unless i"m missing something here...

hi
i've got an 16GB iphone that was running well on the firmwork 1.1.4, but when i updated it to the lates firmwork it asked me to insert the original sim card to activate the iphone.
i dont have the original sim card and i've tried the (Unlock-iphone) program and it showes me ( check itune 3.7.0.54 failed ).
can anyone help me plz.
