Downgrade iPhone 4.0.2 without SHSH ( Confirmed )

There is much discussion on many blogs about a potential means of downgrading iOS 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 by simply changing a couple values in the buildmanifest.plist and copying all of the images from 4.0.1 into 4.0.2 and then deleting the files ending with 002.But some say they end up failed doing this process. Here i wrote my own way of downgrading iPhone 3G and 3GS.
Following my instruction below will also get rid of the ineligibility error upon restoring the iPhone 3gs to earlier version like 4.0 and 4.0.1. Meaning if you are on 3.x.x version it is not necessary to restore direct to 4.0.2. You have now the power to choose either 4.0 0r 4.01.


[I]How to Downgrade iPhone 3G and 3Gs

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open the host file with notpad

ADD THIS LINE AT THE END


74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

After doing all these steps successfully, do these steps now carefully no need save shsh.

1-phone should be off now connect to itunes with usb it will turn on normal(phone should be activated).

2-now don't remove usb and turn off the phone normally.

3-now put the phone in dfu mode while connected.

4-now hold shift button and restore it with 4.0 or 4.0.1 it will be done successfully.


When downgrading iPhone 3G you will end up with the error 1015
