error 3194 on bricked jailbroken iphone: Helppp - GSM-Forum

Hello All,
I have an iphone3gs

which I jailbroke an year ago. It was running 3.1.2.
I did not save any SHSH anywhere since then and my phone

was working fine.

I never installed any new application or anything in the last few months and now suddenly my phone is in a semi-brick condition. It just shows me the apple logo and stays there forever.

I have tried the to get it to DFU mode and the itunes recognizes it only then otherwise it is not recognized by the computer.

The options I have tried are to restore it to 3.1.2 ipsw using SHIFT+restore and changing hosts file with 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com but I still get the 3194 error when apple verification is failed. Does this method only work if I have shsh's saved on cydia?

I have even tried irecovery with libusb installed, but irecovery never recognized a connected iphone.

I donot want to restore to the latest 4.2.1 version as there is no unlock without going to ipad baseband and losing gps (maybe). So I also tried 4.0.1 ipsw in a hope that apple might sign that but I still get the 3194.

I also tried itunes 9 instead of v10 without any luck...
Anyone has any clues on how to do this.

I am stuckk!! on the apple logo!!

use custom 4.2.1 firmware to flash ur phone to new os preserving ur baseband

anyway u can also use iphone pcsuite to fix bootup errors if ur phone was jailbraked early

where do i get custom 4.2.1 firmware.. (do I create it myself with snowbreeze?) and update with that?

can you point me to the correct iphone pcsuite appliaction.. my iphone was jailbroken using backra1n in January 2010

And use pwnagetool or snowbreeze to make your uodate without BB change

yes and ur baseband will be old one ,no need to flash ipad baseband

Yes, but be carefful to follow the instructions. You must use the "preserve baseband" option.

Snowbreeze 2.2 in windows, pwnage in Mac. redsn0w can't do this

Download Custom firmware no baseband update, no cydia, no active
Active, Restore and jailbreak then unlock.
