iphone 3g error performing request no network service - GSM-Forum

hi every time i try and call a number is says error performing request no network service it has 02-uk in the top left hand corner but no signal bars .

any help would be great .

dialed a number and no says call failed but says o2-uk still but no signal bars any one know how to fix ?
