Iphone 3g help please ! - GSM-Forum

Hi to all !

I installed cydia through redsnow and updated base band and then all ok then installed ultrasnow through cydia and unlocked my iphone.

All good until my daughter gave it back to me saying it had the connect to itunes logo on the screen.

so i used 3.1.3 custom firmware to re do it ..all ok apart from the fact that i can not now get a signal !

Cydia has missing files when loading it up so i can not use ultrasnow again !

Any help appreciated

Why did you update the baseband if you are using 3.1.3?

If you got the blobs saved then update to 4.1 and jailbreak again. All should be well. I have read that someone else had a problem before using 3.1.3 on 6.15bb.

Hi and thank you for your speedy reply. The phone originally was on 4.2.1 I think ? hence i had to update the baseband.

And I used 3.1.3 custom firmware because that was the only custom firmware i could find !

Alas i did not save the blobs.

Are you sure cydia didnt save your 4.2.1 blobs? Download tiny umberella, connect your phone, click saved shsh and check?

If the blobs are saved your in luck. Just download 4.2.1 firmware and restore, when you get 1015 error cos of 6.15 bb just use tiny umberella to 'exit recovery'
All should be ok.

If you havent got your blobs saved then 3.1.3 is th only firmware that is available as it wasnt signed (on the 3g, which is what you must have for it to have installed) except obviously 5.*
