Lightbulb iPhone 3g - Wifi Grey - WHY



I'll tell You why wifi doesn't work propertly in iPhone 3G(Grey option wifi, No wifi range...):

After pick up ic wifi you can see pads - it's broken - grey pads without Sn.






After cleaning pads ...




And now wifi is worked propertly

See that you use small pre-heater...

Did you heated whole pcb from above, and than concentrate heat on removed assembly?

Or did you just put preheater from under it & gun heat into WiFI/Bluet assembly until released from pcb?

Yes i use small pre-heater and standard gun heat

I concemtrace heat on removed parts.

Before you wont pick up wifi module you must celan glue near wifi,
Be careful under wifi module flip side is main cpu and don't destroy it.

another common reason wifi quits working is from blackrain, if 3GS there is a fix by reflashing 05.11.07 separately in mobile terminal, then reunlock using ultrasnow or patched version of blacksnow. this only applies to 3GS 5.11.07 blacksnow'd.

when you wormup pcb, you can cleanup glue,
Wifi module have got glue inside, you can not put it once again, you must use new wifi module
