bro,he is talking about 5.1 not 5.0.1.
anyways
try to restore direct via itune(not stock firmwere,shwift+restore)
but you cannot jailbreak it now

i had the same problem yesterday via itune it was internnet pb but 2day all is ok 5.1

check this....

1. 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com delete this line located inside host file after that delete tinyumbrella host file also ( u can find out these host files in this folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc )
2. make sure your restoring ipsw 5.1 file is original apple firmware
note : u can open ur host file with note pad , word pad ....

Change the hosts file from C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc with this file and then try to restore your iphone with iTunes latest version 10.6 using ios 5.1_9B179. Your problem will 100% solved.

lol Sorry to say but your host file is also not working

during this error two problem face
1:- is repalce host file in c:/window/system 32/drivers/etc/replace host file)
2 :- use lastes firmware

during 3194 error
dont forget press thanks butten

74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com delete this line located inside host file after that ( u can find out these host files in this folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc )

And update your itunes, test post ur result
