Siri on Your Older iOS Device Without a Siri Proxy [How to]

Since the launch of the iPhone 4S and its magical assistant Siri, users of older iOS devices, namely iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch 4G, 3G have been attempting to port Siri on their devices. You must have heard about Spire by now, the first legal Siri port, that requires an iPhone 4S authentication key and a Siri proxy to port Siri to your older iOS device. Spire`s work is a bit of a hassle for many as you know.

Today, we have a super easy way for you to port Siri on your older iOS device without using a Siri proxy. All you need is a friend with a jailbroken iPhone 4S, and you can have Siri on your device in a matter of miuntes.

We will show you how to use AssistantConnect and AssistantConnect4S:

Step 0: download http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/...ct4s_1.0.0.deb
http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/...nect_1.0.0.deb

Step 1: Install Spire on your iPhone 4, or other older device. Setting Up Spire (Video Tutorial) - Redsn0w, Redsnow Jailbreak 4.3.5 Untethered - 4.3.3 - 4.3.4 - 5.1 iOS - iPad 2, 1 - Unlock iPhone

Step 2: Go to Settings > General > and enable Siri.

Step 3: Install and open AssistantConnect4S on an iPhone 4S device, or other older device.

Step 4: Reboot your iPhone 4S , or other older device.

Step 5: Open AssistantConnect4S, invoke Siri, and ask it anything. After Siri responds, tap the “Email Siri Data” button, and email the data to the iPhone 4, or other non 4S device. Make sure the attachment has a file size (mine reports 0.9kb) to ensure that it’s not empty.

Step 6: Open the email sent from the iPhone 4S with the attachment, and open the attachment. Tap the button that says Open in “AssistantConnect”. AssistantConnect will open to a dialogue that says “File Copied” and “AssistantConnect File Loaded Successfully”. Tap Dismiss, go to your Home screen, and respring or reboot your device.

Step 7: Once your iPhone 4 or older device is back up, hold your Home button to invoke Siri and ask her a question. It should work just like on an iPhone 4S.

It works, but you have to get the authentication key every 24hrs.

You have to get the keys everyday from the 4S....
