Member: 1084387 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Operating system for china phones But i was wondering if there are any open source OS's for some of these phones? The two phones i got (Sciphone i68 and Xksstel X16) seems to use MTK 6225 processor which seems to be some type of ARM7(?) Anyone got more information on this processor architecture? And anyone got pictures on making flash cables for these phones? Or anyone had experience with any of the open Real time operating systems? (Guess that'll fit the phones best) And anyone know the amount of space on these phones? (approx. without anything on it) Nucleus OS (the RTOS that seems to run on most of these phones) seems to have a small footprint. Any tips on an open one with a small footprint? I've only found ChibiOS/RT and NuttX RTOS, both seems to support a similar arm7 processor. (but would be a lot more work to be done, though. But hopefully i wouldn't have to start from scratch.)Anyone had any experience with these OS's? Anyone got any other thoughts, ideas or anything to add? Last edited by Slemmen; 07-28-2009 at 08:31. |
