Help! Why inserted a test SIM phone still says :"inset correct SIM"?


As every setool user knows - you need a old sim to unlock a locked phone. now, why it still says :" insert correct SIM card" when i using a new testing SIM i just received today, i was happyly to try the new test sim bcoz i always use customer's old SIM. but this phone doesnt came with a old SIM. my question is have i bought a fauty sim or else? i really cant think of any thing that i have to do differently but just insert it in, isnt it?

Plz help ! my customer has been waiting for longer enough, thanks in advace!!!

it might have 5 locks closed

put it on and press identify and that will give you the network provider that the phone is on and then insert the sim from that network
if it shows 000-00 this is normal hutchinson 3

also check the sim reader as one of the legs might be faulty?

thaX 4 ur quick reply. first, can u check 4 me if i bought a wrong one?
here is the link that where i bought from: Test Card for 2G/3G GSM phones. Unlock software, repair and flash tools, service manuals, unlock codes, spare parts and cables for cell phones


Do i have to puch any key? no? i dont really think so.

now , i checked the SIM legs- they are all fine. u said if 000 00 usurly is 3g. Gosh !! i have tried all the SIMs i have ( probably 45 of them - they are all most from all different servers all around the world. which inluding 3g in UK. Australia. and more... ( yes it shows provider : 000 00 i thought i have damaged some system file when i saw 000 000)

any more suggestion?

that is the same card as mine what model of phone is it?

check the sim holder if it has a silver bar over it you might want to push down on it as it sound as if the sim isnt connecting to the sim reader as I had this problem yesterday with a c510 and i done this and it worked after that?

failing that Iam out of Ideas

I think your phone has corrupted GDFS can you show the full identify log.

It would be much easier to help you then.

Does it show imei mismatch or any error like that just try to repair the GDFS by recovery method.
