C980 not displaying after wrong unlock with another tool - GSM-Forum

I mistakingly chose V980 instead of C980 with Rocker software and after successful unlock, phone is unlocked, but cant display on screen. It only shows the vodafone logo and goes off, but phone is still on, as software can still read all info from phone.

The boot is 26.xx xx, but i have only 24.xx.xx (from MSS4 support) and when i try to flash with this on MSS4 to see if it will work, i get usb time-out error or so.

Also i have tried PDS repair with both tools and all went ok, but still doesnt display.

Is there a way i can use MSS4 to rectify this phone ?

What exactly you want to do now ? You're a bit confused with your post here.

What was the original firmware version in phone please ?

sorry,
I made that post to mss section, so i copied everything to here.
Actually i unlocked the phone with rocker software.

As I said, the phone doesnt display anything on screen (The screen is blank, just immediately after showing vodafone logo, it goes blank)
I want to restore the phone to show correctly.

The original version I didnt check, but i believe it should still be what I see now, as I have not flashed it. Its currently = R26_U_83.28.38.04.01P

In that case you should simply write correct bootloader to phone, using bootloader update method. Since v980 is flip phone, anc C980 not, you got not working LCD.
Just in case, i've just uploaded exactly that firmware to rocker support, if it can make any good.

Please request anything else you might need, while i am in good mood here.
