Member: 988448 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20 | Can I edit a palm program? Ok I started with a picture so you could see what I am talking about, See the little alerts that are are the top of takephone? I dont much care for them, I just do not like them that much, But love the program! So I know with a program called Resource Hacker I can go in to programs in windows and change little things if I so wish. Like If you look at the top left corner here, It does not show a little Firefox like it should. So is there a way I can do this with a palm program? In this case TakePhone, Or is there a decompiler of some kind that would let me take apart a program and change what I want and then put it back together? Thanks! |

Member: 245744 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 35 | hmm well what you can do to get around it...works for most programs if your phone keeps reseting..use Uninstall Manager...Enable sandbox and enable uninstall manager as the default uninstaller. First delete IcoEdit using Uninstall Manager then reinstall again this time Sandbox..basically this is an simulator/emulator on your palm..per say...then what you can do is then edit Takephone to your preference, save it to your sd card...then close the program...it should take you back to the Sandox option screen uninstall it but make sure to only uninstall files in your RAM!! This should work F.Y.I it should also work for unstable keygen thats keep reseting your phone also..ie astraware kg... Enjoy!! |

Member: 988448 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20 | Well I am guessing that the program just does not like my phone, I installed it in sandbox and it still reset my phone.. Suck, But thank you for the help!! But I have 2 other questions, 1. Do you know of a good program for palm to clean it? Something like CCleaner for windows? (is there one?) 2. Is there a way to just edit TakePhone on my PC and just put that on my phone? Again thank you for the help! I would of never of known of this sand box thing.. |

well thats unfortunate...regarding a program that is good for cleaning palm os would be Uninstall Manager. http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/atta...6&d=1223402036 Also here are any of the files that you may want to download as well! As of right now I don't have any idea as to what program you can use specifically to edit programs. The only thing that I could suggest would to use a decompiler...which can be found under the link above in the crack manual.

Member: 988448 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 20 | Hey if you want to give it a try here is a program that will decompile palm programs, But I have not got it to work yet, I was able to decompile takephone and edit the pictures in it, and then recompile the program, But when i install it on my test phone there seem to be no change, But I am still working on it, It also looks like I might be able to change some skins this way? http://festus440.happypalm.com/pfcd.php And I seen that the program Uninstall Manager has a cleaner part to it, But to tell the there are files that I have no idea what they are, I am so use to windows or linux to where when I am cleaning it out what ever files I am playing with have a full name and are in folders that kind of pin point what they are, and with palm it seems everything is all in one place? I guess I need to spend a lot more time trying to understand palm and the file system.. But again thank you for the help! |

Okay I will take a look at the file a little bit later... I'll see what I can do for you... Well regarding Uninstall Manager there are actually some instructions that you can read and it pertains to the use of Uninstall Manager and what files you need to look for. For the most part what Uninstaller does it shows you by color what files are related from the pdb database. This way it makes it easier to pinpoint what files belong to what. I would advice you to install the Neatfreak pack. This way it will save you the headache of trying to find all files and if something else does go haywire then you can use OG Restore...
