Saguaro was almost a complete OS 'layer' built over PalmOS that we were only teased with, but never came to fruition. LineUp was a 'sneak peek' of what was coming in Saguaro, and the free trial is available on PalmGear (I don't think the full version is). It comes with three widgets and is very impressive but when I tested it out the widgets weren't functional. The company that produced the program"s" (PDAPerformance) has since gone bankrupt and their website is no longer online. So, unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to find Saguaro but you might still be able to track down the files on some obscure archive website. But if in any case you find a beta version of Saguaro lying around, please let me know because I'm extremely interested in it as well... (Here's a screenshot of what LineUp look(ed)s like. As you can see, you kind of scrolled through the different widgets using the arrows at the bottom. But really...since the widgets are full screen, they're just like mini-applications. Another problem with LineUp was the load time...it took about forty seconds to start the program) (And here's a screenshot of what Saguaro would have been...sad to see this not be developed as it offered a more full solution than LineUp, apparently, almost like a full OS layer over the PalmOS...too bad it was never finished) aa EDIT: Just found this link on Palm's Software Store...this is powered by Pocket/PalmGear, which no longer lists the software, and Palm is redoing all of their software store and weeding out palm os stuff the best they can, so I'm not sure how long the link will be around...but I've downloaded it so if you don't grab it in time contact me: Here's LineUp Free Trial |
