Blackberry rebooting

I managed to get my hands on a blackberry 9000 and i have tired everything possible to restore the phone but nothing i do is working. The problem with the phone is, it's not turning on but when connected to the computer it keeps restarting non-stop. I tired restoring the phone without the battery attach and yet nothing happened. The phone itself is not turning on. when connected to the computer, Firstly, the red light comes on and then the screen comes up with the battery icon showing up charging and that is it. it then keeps restarting everytime.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

@Routeplanner Try this.

1. Unplug BB from PC.
2. Launch the Application Loader like you were going to install something.
3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.

Thanks for your quick reply @delower10. I have already tried that procedure and is still not working. The main problem I am having right now is rebooting. the moment the app-loader starts loading the application files then the reboot starts. i have sat on this for 24hour straight hoping the rebooting will stop somehow but still no progress. the phone itself when switch on does the same thing (rebooting), i have already change the battery to a new one and fully charged. I wish there's a combination to keys to press that will stop the rebooting or some kind of a program that tackles the rebooting as this is really becoming tiring. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks
