I ran to the store to get a credit card to be able to get unlock code ASAP, I yelled at MasterCard (prepaid) because I wasn't aware there was a 2 hour fund freeze on the card when you purchase it. (fraud protection) Then after receiving my code I find out that I cannot enter it in the phone because no attempts are left. Can you explain the hardware reasons why we can't reset this from our own pc's? Or perhaps is this an issue with software for communication that someone's not sharing aka hadn't designed yet? Meaning once the software is written than the issue will be resolved? I will accept not being able to do it however not just like that lol. I need to know what DM3 does with the phone to unlock it. The way I see it is if they can do it, then why can't I? Anyways I was able to use the unlocked sim card to update to Blackberry 6 software... was on 5... hoping the re-flash will change the phone's fate however not the case. This is really information which is written somewhere else on the device. There must be a way to access it from the USB somehow. I will most likely accept defeat now Any help or information would help. |

In the pc you have a jumper now and it is very easy to do but with the phones you have to remove the batt connect it changing the polarity for some seconds (maybe 10) and then re-install it on board. As i said i never try it but sounds logic from who in these forums gave the tip. Think that with this proccedure you reset the CMOS installing again on the BIOS the initial configuration. That would mean in the phone that the attempts come back to ten. Beautiful if it will be truth, no? Last edited by the_old_man; 06-02-2011 at 21:07. |
