Blackberry 8830 verizon

when i connect my bb 8830 verizon to pc it always says usb not recognised. phone is in brand neew condition. what is the problem this is? pls pls help me.

first check device manager for drivers or try it on different pc.if still same than contact service centre or change usb connector

Maybe you should try to re install the Blackberry desktop manager. Hope it'll help

full explaination of how i activated carrier A on carrier B of bb88300
carrier A phone's original carrier
carrier B carrier you wish to activate service on

:Used MFI and changed VSM of phone to match carrier B (secret menu
Ctrl+alt+shift+f12, without phone connected)
:radio stopped working (phone was still in service mode?!)
: changed PRL of phone to a prl from carrier B, prl was around 1 yr old
(google'd for website that had many many prl's and listing of what carrier they were, along with when they were pushed to the towers for over air download)
: used ##000000 and changed SIP Username and MIP username to #phonenumber currently on carrier B#@carrierB.com IE:[email protected]
Changed SIP password to carrierB (all lowercase) IE: carrierb
:Used MFI and nuked /full erase/ auto on phone
:used Desktop manager to load latest OS from carrier B for bb8830
:waited
:VSM matched carrier B, Prl matched carrier B, No longer had default theme of carrier A, Radio was working, tested by doing over the air PRL update ( IE: *228 wait option 2) new PRL downloaded.
:changed esn of phone line to esn of bb8830
:activated handheld over the air ( *228 wait option 3 )
:test call to nearby handheld completed

haven't test data services, may do so soon probably not.
normal sms txt's do work for me.
might not be best way or easiest or w/e, but first bb ive done this to so i was pleased

i have a bb 8830 from sprint, how can i unlock with mfi? i want to get rid of the cdma and just use gsm part, dont care if it's dual band only.

u can unlock it free MML software.....
its work CDMA/GSM both network.....

it was unlocked from some mobile shop in india. But when i am travelling in roaming out going is not working...

And for one Blackberry 8830 Verizon i am using and it was also unlocked from some mobile shop. And i am this with CDMA reliance. it worked 2months good and after suddenly outgoing is not working....
SMS incoming, outgoing is working and incoming call is also working
plz suggest.

I rectified my self no need flashing. First i did hardrest for bb8830 gsm+ cdma

1. Menu > option>mobile network
2. Then network mode: Select gsm mode

select automotic cum network
