Blackberry Code error (Wrong code) Solution. - GSM-Forum

You got message "code error" when try to unlock a blackberry, Dont worry here is the solution.
When you get code error specially with 8 digit unlock code, follow the instructions below to fix this and able to unlock blackberry phones successfully.

Always put sim (any operator sim) inside while entering unlock code, some time code not accept without sim card also.

Download and Extract the file and save it to your personal computer.
Connect the device to the personal computer using Blackberry Desktop Manager.
Double-click the downloaded file SIM_Unlock_Tool_USB_BlackBerry_Gsmfather_server. If prompted, enter your device password. The unlock tool runs, and the device resets when complete.
Proceed with the SIM unlock instructions provided by Server.

SIM_Unlock_Tool_USB_BlackBerry_Gsmfather_server.zi p for Blackberry 8xxx and 7xxx series.
SIM_Unlock_Tool_serial_BlackBerry_Gsmfather_server .zip for 6710

For resetting counter work in 7xxx series and i am not sure it will work for 8xxx series or not. btw this tool is to fix when you have correct code and you enter the code and phone shows "wrong code"

I got my unlock code and it gave me this "code error, please wait" everytime and now i have only 3 tries left.

code might also be wrong.

Hi i have a Blackberry 8800 and I have IT policy enabled on it,

Whenever i connect it to computer it,windows(Xp,Vista both) picks it up as Blackberry SD device(MMC is out),so i cant use it with BBdesktop manager..

The reason why i want to disable IT policy is that i need to disable firewall on it and i need to disable security on it.....

Any solution plz Help

I got 3pcs of Bold 9000 as well from customer. Phone originally is from Orange UK but he flash it to O2. All 3 pcs have code error while entering them. Can this program help? Cos when I launch it display code error 10 then it exits.

i have an 8900. I got the code from GSMfather, the problem i am having is :

Wrong Code

the code i received is an 8 digit code.

so i decided to try this tool to make it work, but unfortunately i get error code : 10 when i use this tool.

please help.

This isn't clear. Is this tool reseting the attempts left?
What if the code from the server is actually the wrong code?
