U cant unlock cdma handset's actually u'll have to program your phone setting's like (esn, spc, min, prl) from the provider from which the handset came to the provider you need like for verizon to Reliance you will have to change all verizon settings and program reliance settings to your phone. After which u will be able to switch the carrier. But there are no free software for doing such programming you'll have to buy payed solutions for it. I personally use CdmaWorkshop P .
