.img is the map file ! Just copy in your garmin directory ... and activate.

i have the same problem as titan05.

my maps are locked and whichever code the keygen generated didn't work.
i put everything in the right place (SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL)

and everytime i open the garmin mobile xt on my phone, it says, "cannot unlock maps for garmin device and unit id 2896172285, do you want to unlock now?"

then when i go to the about on the software, it just says, "unlock esn: 538760680"

what do i do now?

Did you use the unlock ESN:# in the key gen?
Put that in the key gen and get your code which is save as SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL

yeah, i used the unlock esn:# and put it in the SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL

still doesn't work. keeps asking me to unlock the maps.

oh yeah, another question..
for the City Navigator North America NT 2008..
did you use all of the map products in it or did you select the ones you needed?

cause i only selected california.

Right now I only have TX, CA, LA and FL in there as those are place I go to. If need be I can always go back and add more places.

So use the keygen to calculate unlock code for your unitID,just use it instead of cardID.

Put it in SW.UNL file.

After that calculate (using same unit ID) map unlock code and put it inside GMAPSUPP.UNL.

Overwrite old files in garmin folder and test it

Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this......

I have installed the program successfully, the internal gps is active, however no map is being found. I have copied the "img" file into the Garmin directory along with the gmapsupp and SW files (minus the .txt).

There just doesn't seem to be a map detected (I am using the Great Britain map).

Any ideas??

Did you save them as SW.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL? I know you say no .txt but they need .UNL behind them

Hi. Yes I have saved them properly. I'm thinking the map that I have (which was posted earlier in this thread) is a dudd. I just cannot understand why else it would be showing a black screen and 'no map' message.

Think its a lost cause......ashame as the interface looks to kick route 66's botty.
