Navigator MAG Gp110

Hi all,
A friend of mine came to see me as he was given a GPS navigator, brand MAG.
Model number is GP110.
He works for a company that sometimes sell products for their companies promotions and this MAG was a sample.
Checking the data in the memory of the device I see that the Nav. S/W is "DEMO IGO 2006 BETA".
Expiry date the 9th of July 2007.
The operating system is Windows CE 5.0.
It seems that it does locate satellite positions by the looks of the screen on the issue of satellites.
Still the navigator does not work.
Googling a bit I find that IGO does have a S/W called IGO may way 8.
I obviously have a few questions:
1. Anybody knows how to re-activate the actually installed S/W?
We tried to set the date to something way before the expiring date.NG!
2.Does anybody know this device and so maybe has experimented to install another S/W on it?
3. Would it work with IGO may way 8, and if so, is this somewhere available?
