Route 66 working on N73? - GSM-Forum

Hi,

Has anyone actually successfully installed Route 66 onto a Nokia N73?

If so:-
1) Which specific version was it?
2) How exactly, step by step, did you install it?

I have searched this and many other forums, tried lot of various versions and methods but no joy.

I have the same problem with my N73... :-(

erase the sd card with card reader
install mobile7.sis
remove sd card
insert sd card into card reader
copy system folder from PC to sd card
copy one map from PC to maps directory in sd card
edit ActivationKey.dat file from sd card and type in a string of 16 characters
save the Activationkey.dat file
put the sd card back into the phone
get the gps module ready
start route66

Thanks for your reply. I tried again but same "Resource error - Resource files are missing. Please reinstall the application"

Anyone else have any ideas?

When i installed R66 on my N80 the same error occurred !

Hi,

Please excuse for my silly question, this is my first time using Route 66. I successfully installed Route 66 into my N73 and I can run it as well. However, when it's on, it shows No GPS! So it means that I need some kind of GPS device? If yes then please give me suggestion which device should I get. Thanks very much!

Resource errors appear when you do not have a compatible map installed on the card.

You've got it. Any bluetooth GPS receiver will do.
