tomtom rider help

Hi all im new here and want a bit of help

i have just bought a secondhand tomtom rider and there is no product code with it

contacted tomtom who was no help

just wondering if there is a way to find out what the product code is by looking in any of the system files ??

or does anyone know how to activate a map i have

read the 1st pages of the threads caled tomtom v6, tomtom v7 and tomtom v8

you only need the device id to be able to update your maps

if you have read the early pages on them threads it states that !

ah right!!!

so i cant update maps through tomtom

so i will have to use cracked maps right

as you can tell im a bit new to this and most of the info i keep reading is mostly on about mobiles

the device id is there just no product code

the device id is there just no product code

the activation code you used to get in your tomtom box only allowed you to re-activate your maps on your device.

if you change the maps the activation code will change due to the Device, Version of Maps, etc

im starting to understand this a little more now

i have just activated a newer map

but there is still newer maps out there

you can put upto v8.15 maps at the moment using a patched version of the 7.903 firmware

maged to get f**ware, it works, but the maps Western_and_Central_Europe_TRUCK_v815.2112 showing error :

"Problem with map
You can not use this map on this device: Western_and_Central_Europe_TRUCK"

I need UK maps anyway, but wanted to try anything.
Device TT rider 1
FW Navcore 8.070

ok,
I have worked out what it was, i did not get meta correctly.

Anyway i delited it and tryed 8.300 this time paing more attention to what i was doing.

Got the same error as above, but in the end got map to work.

But it can not be easy, When i touch the screen TT reboots it self and it takes 5 minutes. Firmware is not right i think.
When i pres on bottom status line i get ether volume control or viweing the device data.

Will go back to 8.07 to try.

But with my old maps. My aim is to get latest maps where lanes are showed.

Can i get maps with latest fitures to work on 7.901 or i ll need to install 8.10?
