Member: 974800 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | G3 motherboard problems I recently got a shipment of 15 units of G3 from a german company which released them for recycling In the meantime I realized that this phone has serious motherboard issuses, due to bad factory solder from LG. Almost 90% problems are due to chips loosing BGA contact. This can be further proven by reflow-ing certain chip that actually gives back certain function to the phone. Here is the list Blue screen: Sandisk memory chip Screen flicker: analogix chip wifi not turning on/wifi grayed out/wifi and BT not working: WCN chip restart: RAM memory chip So, I will buy necessary equipment for reballing but I would like to ask anyone who maybe knows, what causes these issues: Invalid sim card/sim removed is this RF chip, or SIM slot, and how could I know what makes this problem ? I know how to replace sim slot, I have that much level of experience, but I still dont know how to reball chips. And it seems to me that RFMD chip is not connected via BGA but rather side-pins ? Can anyone with expertise help me on what is what ? tnx to all in advance |
