Probably a stupid question but...

This is probably a really stupid question, but does anyone know how to turn this device off? I plug in the charger/adapter and the device powers on and charges. After so long the device is fully charged and I remove the charger/adapter but the battery runs dead within 24 hours even if the device has not been used during that time. I initially thought the device powered itself off after a prolonged period of inactivity (much like superclip/centurion clip does) because the screen powers off. Maybe I am doing something wrong, could someone please help?

Hi,

We have implemented a 'sleep' mode, where 99% of the HW is powered
off and consumption is really low. But sleep mode will be entered only
if any running application is unloaded.

you can cut the power cable(+) from battery and solder one on/off switch and mount it in the genie case to complete power off the device...

Thanks for the explanation, probably I'm leaving the applications running and this is why the battery is draining within 24 hours

For my device i use 2 Nokia batteries(i think ~ 700 mA each) and it will last
3 days in Sleep mode. But if the application is running, the consumption
is quite high, although the LCD backlight is off, so it shouldn't last more
then few hours.

Hi,

I use 2 pcs of BLB-5C, i think was supplied with most DCT4 phones(6100 etc). Each give 3,7 V 650 mA if not wrong. Connected in series off course.
