Yes will be 100% ok. But will depends which hardware version you have. If V1 you might have to make small modification on hard ware. Iam uplaoding now all tutorials and videos

Hadware modification for iphone3g V1 and Movistar (Spain) carrier

What do you mean for "you will have to modify hardware"? Which hardware? And, how can I know whether my iphone 3g is V1 or not?

Thank you in advance!

Ok! so V1 refers to the yessim sim, not to the iphone. For a moment I thought I had to modify the hardware of the iphone

I have recently bought a yessim for my iphone 3g. It was last saturday (july 26). Am I concerned about this hardware modification? I bought it once yessim had already announced the sim could unlock iphone 3G. I can't believe I will need to make this hardware modification on this BRAND NEW sim. Probably yessim hasn't even shipped it yet!

What if this modification causes the sim to stop working? the images don't clarify the precise positions for the holes. Moreover the text specify that the new holes must have the same disposition as the 3 hole you already have on the Upper copper pad. Surprisingly, the image a different disposition.

I don't feel comfortable modifying a brand new component I have just bought and wandering if it didn't work from the very beginning or is the case that I broke it when making those ugly holes.

One additional comment: Yessim support clearly refers to v1, but I'm not sure if yessim.com indicated the "v2" for sims bought last saturday (as is the case now). Moreover, the tutorial refers to both v1 and v2.

Some help from you guys?

tutoriel refer to v1 , for know what hardware version you can chek with simple multimetre continuity between up pad and down pad, or just with your eyes if pad have no hole it's V1, if exist no need done any modification if not you must make it, is so easy to make just follow guide, but if you bought last saturday i think you have new hardware i will check tomorro and told you,
this modification will not cause yessim not working if you make it like in tutoriel, plz kindly contact if you get any problem we will resolve

Iphone 3G YESSIM How to Unlock?
2008-07-29

1. Jailbreak your phone
2. Make sure your Carrier simcard is valid and catch network(better double check in any other phone)
3. Set your YESSIM as boost mode / 00101 / Patch count 1
4. Able DATA ROAMING in you Iphone
5. Put your Carrier sim and yessim into your Iphone 3G
6. Go to Plane mode then Normal mode on your Iphone 3G
7. In case you still have NO SERVICE kindly go to courier mode, wait for around 20s, an error message will be displayed and you will have network
6. Enjoy... CALL 2G, CALL3G, DATA3G
so if I understand correctly, i need a datacable or the YESSUP to modify (step 3.) the YESSIM card? Or are the default settings on the YESSIM 'boost mode/ 00101 / Patch count 1'?

In other words: It's not possible to insert the YESSIM card directly into your Iphone 3g, you have to modify the card first?

best settings, with furiousim/yessim:

pc 1
boost
mccmnc (set to same as locked phone: ie: rogers canada iphone, set mccmnc to 30272)
firmware 2.4
v1 or v2 OK... v1 DOES NOT require modification for iphone 3g.
