Member: 1900065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | SGH-i927 Captivate: Pegasus shows unlocked, but device prompting for unlock key * using the Insecure Kernel, and then * flashing with the AT&T rooted ROM. In Download Mode, using Odin 1.85, I flashed the kernel, then rebooted the phone. Then I shut the phone down, and then booted up again into Download Mode, using Odin 1.85, to flash the AT&T rooted ROM. I then started Pegasus, created the i927 Module, set phone in USB Debugging Mode, connected the MicroUSB cable, and clicked "Connect." I got the following output in the i927 Module: -------------------------------------------------------------------- [ --- CONNECTING TO THE PHONE --- ] OPENING COM11 : COMPLETED PDA VERSION : I927UCKI3 CSC VERSION : SOFTWARE VERSION : I927UCKL1 PHONE IMEI : 3*****-**-******-2 MSL ADDRESS : R********3 PRODUCT CODE : SGH-I927ZKAATT PRODUCTION DATE : - CUSTOMER CODE : ATT UNIQUE NUMBER : C*************E MEMORY NAME : - ADB DEVICE : SGH-I927 GINGERBREAD 2.3.5 ROOT STATUS : ROOTED NEW CODE ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM DETECTED!!! PLEASE USE DIRECT UNLOCK OPTION TO UNLOCK THE PHONE!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------- I then clicked the "Unlock" link, now active after I'd clicked "Connect." This added the following output, to that already shown above: -------------------------------------------------------------------- [ --- UNLOCKING PHONE --- ] UNLOCKING PHONE : COMPLETED [ --- DISCONNECTING PHONE --- ] DISCONNECTING PHONE : COMPLETED --------------------------------------------------------------------- The phone then rebooted, and when it got to the lock screen, I disconnected the USB cable. Then, I shut the phone off, removed the battery, pressed the power button for 10sec (to clear capacitors of residual voltage), and then inserted an active T-Mobile SIM card. When I rebooted the phone and swiped the lock screen, I was then presented with a prompt to Enter Network Unlock Key. There was a field to type the key, and two links underneath the field: * Unlock (which I'm guessing isn't much use unless you've typed a valid unlock code * Dismiss (I clicked this to try to make a call, even though the SIM info wasn't showing in AboutPhone/Status area. Result was "Not registered on Network) So basically Pegasus says my phone is unlocked, but the phone prompts for an unlock key when a T-Mobile (non-AT&T) SIM is installed. Any advice? Did I miss anything, possibly a COM port issue, etc? Thanks in advance! |

Member: 1900065 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | PegasusBox, I know the thread's a bit aged, but I still have the i927 no-unlock issue. I'm convinced that, when following the module's Hints for i927, I need to flash using the insecure kernel from Pegasus Boot-Loader website (instead of from other websites xda, etc.). It's the only thing I can think of that I haven't tried. |
