Arrow MXkey Tips and Tricks - HOT SOLUTION ONLY HERE

  • 1. Always select correct 'Generation' first before any operation.
  • 2. Always Use "Scan" if you're working with non dead phone, this will help mobileEx to use 'correct' spesific setting for any phones attached to box.
  • 3. "BUS Check" with setting safe flash ticked, will perform boot squence, display boot information (upp id, flash manufacture, flash address) and automatically safe phone's rpl.
  • 4. Make sure phone is in correct mode for any FBUS/NON flashing operation,
    - example: in Tuning & Testing page, phone should be in TEST MODE, else will be best if the phone is in LOCAL MODE.
Do phone mode change manually if needed.
  • 5. When doing jobs on working phone, for any operation (add language, locks, etc), DCT4 and BB5, it is better to save its security data (RPL, certificate, pm, etc) first before you do anything else. Just in case...
  • 6. If you noticed, there was a differences of flashing speed between FlashID/Manufacturer the option 'Fast flash' should not be enabled for "INTEL" flash chip.
  • 7. If you need only to change the language, select file setting as NORMAL. then check 'Language Only"
  • 8. "Safe Flash" will save RPL backup from flash mode, and currently NOT supported for ASIC type 11 phone, so dont be checked. For this phone please do a PM backup since RPL backup from flash mode not yet supported. All other DCT4 asic is supported. Yes, even the dead one.
  • 9. Use "Restart" button every time you need to refresh the connection or restart the phone.
  • 10. Unlock "Security Code" on all DCT4,DCT4PLUS(Asic 2),WD2, TIKU without loosing any user data(phonebook, msg, etc) even counter already blocked? Yes, it is possible using mobileEx. Just do a "BUS Check" and you will see "Master Code" , use this code as the security code(this code readed from the phone and 100% will work both for CDMA or GSM phones).

Run on first time, choose which module to execute

-----------------------
Customizing Your Suite
-----------------------
Configure Nokia Tool

Open Nokia Service Tool, and click on this corner

>

* Enabled Imei changes -> if checked Imei/Esn changes will visible.
Kindly check for your local law for this operation.

* Auto backup ... -> Backup RPL on BUS check ( for DCT4)

* Auto Create DP folder if not exist
This is for directory creation specialy for .nfp extraction. Inside those directory, mcu, ppm, and cnt will be placed.

* Default FBUS timeout
This will set FBUS timeout (higher value = low speed but more accurate)

* Highlight market item
This will highlight the character you choosed. For example on picture, it highlighted on Indo, APAC, MD, and -X.
You will see like this when you selecting files from product code

Server : this is for your ask>rpl service. choose which one is fastest from your location.

And this is the setting for your firmware directory

thats for now, will add more info

Best Regards

Unhappy [Tips] What you should know about mobileEx - MXKEY in practice

Here i will explain in step to save your time and optimize the job when using mobileEx, specially with 'Nokia Tool'.

- Always select correct 'Generation' first before any operation.
- Always Use "Scan" if you're working with non dead phone, this will help mobileEx to use 'correct' spesific setting for any phones attached to box.
- Make sure phone is in correct mode for any FBUS/NON flashing operation,
example: in Tuning & Testing page phone should be in TEST MODE, else will be best if the phone is in LOCAL MODE.Do phone mode change manually if needed.
- For any operation, specially newly released phones, its better to save its security data (RPL + full pm) first before you do anything else.
- if you noticed, there was a differences of flashing speed between FlashID/Manufacturer
the option 'Fast flash' should not be enabled for flash chip "INTEL"
- if you need only to change the language, select file setting as NORMAL. then check 'Language Only" should do the job
- "Safe Flash" will save RPL backup from flash mode(even a DEAD one except ASIC11 phones).
- Use "Restart" button every time you need to refresh the connection or restart the phone.
- Use "..."(Read Phone Mode) button at the right of the phone mode combo to check if the phone if connected and synchronized.
- mobileEx loads your selected "Products" folder to the phone model list, so make sure you have set the correct folder ("Options").

- to be continued.

First Drive:

Nokia Service Tool Configuration:

- Open mobileEx.exe
- Choose interface(UFS/JAF/MTBOX/..), Push "Connect"
- Click on the "star" logo, this is "Appl Modules Loader", Choose "Nokia Service Tool".
- Wait for few second, until Nokia window is loaded.
- Click on "quote" logo (at the right side of the star logo), Choose "Config".
this is the Main Configuration Settings for Nokia.

~General Settings
- Imei Changes
Tick this if you want to use the Imei changes features (check you country law first !!!)
- Auto Backup important data on "BUS Check" (for DCT4 only)
When doing BUS check, RPL will be back up.
- Save as <IMEI>_<TIMESTAMP>_back.RPL
if you check this, the backup will be generated with timestamp every time you "BUS check", else will only save first time.
- Show Detailed Info
Recommended for Advance User, This will allow to display information log in detail.
- Automaticaly select Generation on "Scan"
Correct Generation will be automaticaly selected when you Scan the phone, for example: if you have DCT4 phone connected but active generation is BB5, after you scan product generation will be set to "DCT4"(Not applicable for DEAD phone')
- Auto create DP folder if not exist
New Folder in "Products\<PHONE_TYPE>" will be made, if not exists.
- Default FBUS Timeout
Default is 5000 ms= 5 second.
Less=Faster respond but might have problem with phone which has longer booting time(WD2/BB5)
- Highlight Market items.
Usefull for fast select product code for spesific market.
Enter whatever keyword you want, for example if you choose "EURO,UK" then 'Market Name' which contain word: EURO or UK will be highlighted.
~ Server
You could change here the MXKEY server host, someday when we need to change them. Default is: nkrpl.biz
~ Directory
Select "Products" folder in "Data Package 1"(Default=C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products).
Select "Data Package 2" folder in "Data Package 2"(Default=C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia)/(Optional)
Select "Wintesla" Directory(Default=C:\Wintesla).

since update v3.2 revision 5.0, Public-Release
we introducing new feature part of Erase Flash .

Code:
...............
~ SAFE Erase will Protect PM Data from erase specially when doing 'Erase WHOLE flash'.
~ Usefull for recovering a DEAD phone without loosing SIMLOCK DATA
called as -> SAFE Erase.
Mean is Erase Flash area "WithOut" PM Data Area ( include Simlock ).

lets me give some sample

this case i have 5300 RM-146 can local mode
so i backup first RPL anf PM

if can't local mode, with this metods we can backup RAP NPC ( by selecting RAP )
this operation doesn't need local mode.

Go Erase Flash.
Dont forget tick Safe Erase Flash ..

after finishing erase , go tab flashing .
and flash by your phone market.

here phone info after flashing ..
if before not damage , then you have lucky.
doesnt need RPL to repair

last restore your IMEI , PM auth , Write PM without 308 area

lets do some good work

br,
