Convert K750i to W800i - Help needed!

Hi everyone

I have a customer comming to get his K750i converted to a W800i in a few hours, so I need to make sure what the procedure is:

1. Connect phone using autodetection
2. Replace RED CID36 certificate to BROWN CID 36
3. Flash RAW_FS File (R1N035 from support)
4. Flash MAIN_FS File (R1N035 from support)
5. Replace Brown CID 36 certificate back to RED CID 36
6. Done

Can someone confirm that it's the right way to do it?

hi,

i am not sure about changing certificates but u mus:

1. flash MAIN
2. flash RAW FS
3. customize FS
4. shutdown FS

i think this will be enought, of course if u not need unlock etc...

So I have to flash MAIN_FS before RAW_FS ?? Is that correct?
I'll also need to unlock the phone, but I'll wait with that until I have manged to flash the phone.

The help-file says that I should just push unlock RSA before flashing so I really don't know exactly what to do!

flash ur this flash low ver R1L002 taiwan flash files... succes full convert ur k750! 2 w800!

So you're saying that it only works with older flashfiles. Not with the new R1N035 flashes ??

Can someone confirm this?

upload ur flash files is r1n035.. ur phone maybe 6closed ur phone... after flash ur to r1n035 maybe this after boot pleasewait.....

means rsa maybe remove protiction rsa..now unlock ur phone..before flash ur phone..

What do you mean by 6closed ? Is that like 4 locks closed? That can be solved using Full GDFS I belive.

for me i did
1 attach phone
2 remove rsa
3 flash main FW
4 write raw FS
5 customise FS
6 shutdown

Turn on phone and wait for the phone to complete its customization and voila you have a w800

in the case that when you on the phone and the please wait bar hang then you

1 convert to brown
2 direct unlock
3 convert back to red

turn on phone and it should not hang.

I would just like to let everyone know, that converting an K750i to a W800i is very easy with cruiser.

Simply just flash firmware R1N035 into the phone and followed the info in the help-file. It worked like a charm.

I alos work with cruiser and it actually tells you how to do it in the help.

1. Attach phone
2. Unlock RSA
3. Convert to Browm CID
4. Flash Main
5. Write RAW
6. Customise FS
7. Shutdown FS
8. Detatch Phone.

If anyone is using Cruiser and can't do it, pm me with you e-mail and i'll send you very easy guide to do it

Yes sorry you are right. Here is the process to follow if you use Cruiser

Go to the Primary Page of the Control Window.

Turn the phone off and attach it to the cable (select "Attach To Phone").

If using auto-detect phone type (the default) be sure Cruiser has correctly identified your phone type. If not, detach the phone, remove and insert the battery and then manually select your phone type from the menu.

If necessary, select the Locks tab and press "Unlock RSA". Then reattach the phone.

Select your desired language and the desired filesystem (languages are stored in the filesystem image). Be sure to match the correct firmware with the correct filesystem.

Select the Flash tab, press "Flash ARM" and select the Firmware image to flash to the phone, Cruiser will then flash the Firmware to the phone.

Select the File System tab, press "Write Raw FS" and then select the FileSystem image. Cruiser will then flash the FileSystem to the phone.

Select the "Customize FS" option, then flash the correct cusomisation file for the type of phone you're flashing. You may use one of the built-in customizations too. If you forget to do this step when you power the phone on you will recieve the message "Configuration Error..." on the display.

Select "Shutdown FS" and detach the cable.
