I don't know, what is not to understand in the guide or help file:
Unlock
Top Previous Next
· Turn off the phone and attach Cruiser to the phone.

· Go to the Security AVR page of the Control Window.

· Ensure yourself the option Directly write to GDFS is checked (otherwise an MDC file would be created instead of direct writing to GDFS).

· Press the Create security zone button.

· Detach the phone by clicking the Finalize GDFS button in the GDFS page of Control Window, removing the battery from the phone and disconnecting the phone from cable.

Update phone or change language pack

· Check phone firmware version using the >*<<*<* key sequence. If the phone menu freezes, there is usually something wrong with the ARM part of phone firmware.

· Turn off the phone and attach Cruiser to the phone.

· Go to the Flash page of the Control Window. You may see what languagepacks are available for the phone by clicking the LangPack Info button in the Control Window.

· Click Flash AVR button, select the file containing the AVR firmware part with the desired languagepack and press OK. Wait until the flash file gets transferred into the phone.

· Click Flash ARM button, select the file containing the ARM firmware part and press OK. Wait until the flash file gets transferred into the phone.

· Detach the phone by clicking the Detach phone button in the Primary page of Control Window, removing the battery from the phone and disconnecting the phone from cable.

you mean it stops at 60% of booting the phone - Not flashing.

You have a faulty cable - or the ARM chip of your phone is damaged.

99% of the time it's your cable.

Have you tried with another cable? If not, how can you know that it is not the cable?

The cable might well be for Cruiser and no doubt it flashes all AVR and new RSA ARM phones fine.

That doesn't mean the cable is perfect though, it seems that many newer Cruiser cables can't flash the ARM chip of older AVR+ARM based phones.

try with fully charged battery

personally i got fed up trying to get cruiser to work with older phones like the T630, i find it slow and cumbersome!
I always use Griffins Crusader, works every time!

P.S. Cruiser is the best for newer models!!!!!

Booting older phones with no RSA is where I see a problem. Sometimes it works in 30 seconds or less, sometimes it takes numeous tries. Once you have it booted, cruiser is excellent! So make sure you flash the phone with RSA firmware, and flash the whole phone in one go once it is booted!
