k508i display only white after flash -- phone working - GSM-Forum

hi guys

just had my first k508i in my hands for an upgrade of the software.
in this case a decustomization of the phone.

unlock rsa
flash arm zone 1 eu1 file
flash rawfs zone1 eu2 file with german language

detach
attach
write k500i generic customization file

turning the phone on again was a funny thing

the sounds and everything is working the phone rings when i call it.

BUT the display shows only white!!

never seen something like this before.

maybe dispay calibration data?

i have no clue

Hello,

try a fully reflash of the phone... If it doesn't work, load file from a working phone with cruiser from: /ifs/settings/display/ and then upload this file to your not working phone...

but the problem is wheere to get a file like that.

i think then file can be from a f500 k500 too?

please someone send me the file i need

anather idea: Flash another RAW FS (simply other language). And then try if the display works. If yes, it a problem of german RAW FS. If not, my solution won't help you..

Is there a chance that there are now specific new files for k508i which have to be flashed.

maybe the k500 files are not working , maybe a new HW rev

the case is i really need it german.

Hello..

There are two ways:

Either you flash eu2 read out language, flash eu1 and upload language.

or: you read out this file: /ifs/settings/display/ flash eu2 and upload the downloaded dispdriver.

I would take the first way...

ok both tricks not working

have it now running with eu1 in english

hope there will be a fixed image soon!!!
need it really in german.
i cant choose the german language after i uploaded it

the trick with the display driver file also not working

Hello,

Sorry for this question: have you Uploaded the language with "Language operations" or with "Upload file to FS" because the second won't work...

The language file must be araund 100 - 120 kb..

but i cannot choose the language in the settings menu after upload.

t9 is working with the t9 file uploaded

Hello,

You can try this... But I think Cruiser does automatically update this files...

I think the language file is damaged... I tried, if one byte is wrong, the language won't be accpeted.. You must wait for lead..

You could try add langauges by flashing an SFA file to phone if one exists for your deired phone and language.
