K700 software keyboard problem - GSM-Forum

Hello!

Our customer has the following problem. He got K700 with strange defect.

Without SIM card, keyboard and joystick work ok. But just plug SIM in, both keyboard and joystick stop working! It seem, like phone hangs on Choose language screen. However, power on button works.

Keyboard controller was changed - no luck. All tracks look like on working phone. Tried to flash different versions of software and different GDFS versions, various GDFS modifications - no luck.

They say, for SEToll exist special fix file, that can fix such problems, but, what about Cruiser? Can this be, that Cruiser can't solve such problems?

How can you check if joy pad works or not without sim?. As far as I know you can't. In my experiance its joy pad falt which causes the keys stop working and its hadware fault not software related.
But I could be wrong, if you find a solution then please let me know as I have 2 waiting to be sorted

Simple. Just enter service cobmination for entering Service Menu. It is entering by joystick.

i have tried with all the sw possibility .

Find the keyboard fix file in this forum and write on your k700,your problem will solve.

hi
i hav a k700i, hangs when inserted sim in side.without sim its keypad works fine.
i hav flashed this mobile with cruiser,usb smart.
i hav changed its key pad ic,key pad flex and joystick but problem remain same.
if someone hav the solution please post here

the solution for k700i hang is reprogramming otp imei this is only way to make keypad works nothing other can make it
