Problem with sound when converting T230 to T290i

Anyone had problems with sound when converting T230 to T290i? Had one today but I did not have the time to test it. Now the customer is experiencing problem with no or very low sound. Will the T230 audio calibration file fix the the issue?

I've done a few of these with no problems, so I don't think it's the conversion files that are at fault.

Ok, but will the T230 audio calibration do the job?

Seeing as they're basically the same phone I can't see why not, but I can't say for certain as I'm not a SE hardware guru. Lead?

Make a full backup of the phone with Cruiser then try it, if something bad happens just flash the backup back to the phone. That's what I'd do in your situation anyway.

I can understand you want to give your customer a definate answer though...

Now that I have the phone in my hands I have tried to set the audio using the T230 file but the phone went quiet when making calls. I don't like the conversion files! The firmware was R4A014 before I tried to upgrade it. The problem was when making calls to the phone everything was working fine for 2-3 min and then the audio was set at minimum by itself.

In the servicemenu the phone registered a lot of error logs.

It goes quiet during a call? I'd say you have a hardware fault (something overheating or something, I'm no hardware guru)

The few phones I've had with audio problems have either been fixed (or not) by flashing .mdc fixes to them, I don't think the problem you're experiencing is going to be because of the conversion.

There is no HW fault because the phone works perfectly fine with T230 R4A014 and T230 GDFS decustomize. Obviously the conversion files are not working as intended for all T230.

@MG77
Sorry for my question: In which service menu can I get error-logs?
I never heard something about an error log..
