Sony Ericsson Z520 - Major Problems. - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have a Z520i in for decustomising - it's the same phone I posted about yesterday...

Well I thought I had repaird the fault with camera, obviously not - i just downgraded it to a firmware that can use camera driver 2.3.

So as this isnt a fix, just a workaround, there had to be other faults - and there was... here is a list of faults below.

1= Camera wont work in new firmware, says it needs camera version 2.5 - 2.3 is not compatible.

2= When the phone rings, it's supposed to flash a rythmic flashing lights down the side of the phone - this wasnt working.

3= The outside LCD - it's bright white, you can see there is something there, but its to bright, i tried to change external contrast from test menu, no help - if anything it get's worse... the phone was perfect before flashing - just full of t-mobile crap.

If someone can help this would be excellent, if I had GDFS from a brand new one and the very latest firmware.

By the way, what is the latest available firmware - and what do you recommend as the most stable for this phone.

Ok - as a last resort... i flashed R3F to it.

Previous when i had flashed R3F to it - it had camera problem etc, but now all is fine, checked camera version and its now running 2.6 ...

Very strange but its working so what the hell
