Problem with replaced digitizer for iphone 3g - GSM-Forum

I know how to replace the digitizer already but I have problems with the digitizer working properly.

I ordered my digitizer on ebay for about 20$(you can find them cheaper now). The process of replacing my old digitizer went smoothly with everything working except sometimes the digitizer becomes unresponsive. I would have to put the iphone to sleep and wake it up by pressing the home button, then the digitizer would work again.

I have tried 3 different digitizers from ebay already. Do you guys think it's the hardware problem or is it the quality of the ebay digitizer?

Also, if you have successfully replaced one without any problem. can you tell me where you got your digitizer?

I have tried many digitizers from different sellers on ebay and found that maybe as many as one in twenty to one in ten are faulty, either unresponsive, partially responsive or intermittently responsive. I have yet to come across an iPhone that has a touch fault caused by the main board.
