4S heats up with Sim & Searching - GSM-Forum

4s works ok without sim,
Sim inserted, searching and heats up
in setting Carrier shows for a while after insert sim and then disappear
updated to 7.1.2 then 8.0.2, Date Time corrected, problem same
caller id automaticaly becomes off
help somebody

same problem here after a small drop down to my 4s it works about week and then the searching is apears and disappeard randomly and battery over heated and drawin fast ,i thought the baseband qualacomm chip is the response for the over heated someone say it need to replace when i insert s i m it try to searching too long time and then no service while the phone read my number in phone setting and my carrier appeared in Setting // General // About and in my network Sellection in setting // Carrier // if auto matice or manual . my phone read the sim number and carrier but no service even no one momment as it fail down
please help ihave only used it only month , the phone is usless only wifi as it ipod or small ipad
