There's a good chance it is the PMIC itself, a very expensive repair. Before that though, check the Q8804 circuit, that is the MOSFET switcher ofr VCC_MAIN. You should also check the Q8823 circuit as that is the reverse voltage protection circuit.

Since mawagas never return with results I'll refresh this trend with an issue.

Working on iPad Air 2, after Nand upgrade it will not go in DFU mode.

These are my findings so far.

1- ipad detected by itunes
2- with Nand on board it will get stuck in "waiting for ipad"
3- without Nand on board it will error 4014 (it didn't after pulling Nand test)

When power on there is power from USB and there is also power coming from batttery
But when is time to switch to DFU battery will not kick in and that why the "waiting for ipad"
(No Power around Nand)
I already test it and it is not charging the battery at all even that power is flowing.

Q8804 has 4.2v (battery)
Q8823 5.0v (when connected to usb)

I have schematics and been checking continuity around Nand caps without any luck.

No pull pads or damage to the under laying Nand just few scratches from cleaning out glue.

I know there are several post on this forum, but none of them are finish or post back how it was fixed.

I know some logic got damage somewhere I just can't find it so I'm now asking for help.

ZXW Dongle renewal on the way {green}

Main board is drawing 0.64 A when plug to usb and it starts to charge some times some times not.

Already tested with several good usb lightning cables.
External power supply
Tested with couple batteries same resut

Battery sense reading 2.3v (schematic 2.5v) should be ok

1- Already changed tristar.

Any ideas ???

Ok this is fixed and don't know how.
All I did was to change couple caps C8453 & C8454 and now I'm getting 0.25 A drawn and battery seems to have charged in couple hours.

So the case of not charging is RESOLVED.
