Member: 1486987 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Has anybody been able to repair an iPhone 3G dead strip? I have changed the touchscreen of an iphone. Touchscreen works on other iPhone. I tried pushing the connector in place while phone was on. I restored, upgraded, downgraded... everythinG! Has anybody been able to repair an iPhone 3G dead strip on a touchscreen? Should I change Touchscreen chip? or change this quartz component mentioned in threads about 3GS? Helppp Pls!!!!! |

Member: 1486987 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nice, I will give it a try. Thanks. It seems like a faulty soldering problem, cause it's random. I mean, one moment screen doesn't work in one area, next moment it does... And changing the Touch Sensitivity does help but not enough... I'll let everyone know of my results. One last question: Should I reflow in the oven or with heat gun? |

Id suggest cleaning the connection with alcohol. If that doesn't work then try resoldering the pins and if that doesnt work as a last resort then try changing/reflowing the IC with a hot air station. |
