iphone 2g mic problem - GSM-Forum

I have a problem with a 2g iphon whose works mic
Here I have changed the mic, flat cable,but the mic does not work
Can anyone please help me

It is almost always software since the firmwares don't go onto the phones clean sometimes (multiply that statement by 4 if it is unlocked). In the case you have low volume and it is not the firmware, you can pop the black case off the 2g phone at the bottom rear and reveal a dust cover that is clogged FULL of dirt and must be peeled off. Stick it back together and go at more volume than new (literally with no screen to restrict it).

this would sound weird, but try changing the commboard (the board that connects the battery) I had same problem and realise that it is commboard related. Now I`m searching comboard diagram to look 4 something related to sound that can be jumpered... good luck
