resistors? Condersers? I don't believe inductors, but... zero-ohm resistors?

If is a varistor, what clamping voltage? 6V? 15V? More?

You're right, once i removed first top one, nothing change. BUT the strange is once i verified this one on 2 3gs board: 1 had 2 volts, 1 had no volt??, both work well
