iphone 5 charging issue - GSM-Forum

Hey guys I have an iPhone 5 that’s I’ve been troubleshooting for a couple of days. The phone does not charge how ever when I plug it in to the charger it lights up and indicates to plug in the phone to charge which is strange. After some research I read that perhaps the issue can be the u2 ic chip so I went ahead and swapped on the ic but the issue remains maybe a failed attemped? I don’t mind retrying the repair but perhaps maybe something else can be the issue?

It is often u2 ic but not always maybe bad solder on dock connector. Faulty q3. Broke lines. Pmu or charging coil. Or dock flex (but i asume u changed this already).
