iPhone 5c odd charge problem

iPhone 5c

customer supplied, will not display with their battery but takes approx .8A when plugged in.
I can put my battery in, iphone powers on but no charge when plugged in, no current at all.

Have tried various dock flexes
Changed U2 twice, checked board for any other damage
