Is it too bright, blurry, or does it have a white tint?

Check Rsense by the PMU is OK, it should be about 25 ohms to ground. If the trace from the display gets shorted to ground instead of coming to this resistor to ground, then brightness will always run at 100% no matter what the software adjustment setting.
I know because I tried connecting to ground right at the LCD connector instead of using the feedback path on a unit, it was always too bright and couldn't turn it down.
