I told You to check NRST line, because from error code I can see this could be the problem.
It doesnt mater what flash chip is inside.

As mentioned check NRST line and check GROUND line as well as those are the related wires to this problem. Also, sometimes I get this issue with perfect wiring and I'm able to get around it by unplugging the usb going to the phone, then clicking Resurrection, while RIFF looks for the dead body and hangs, plug the phone back in and sometimes that gets past this issue. I think the issue is a slight defect in the PCB with poor NRST connectivity. I've seen it in the i897 more frequently as well.
