Hello.
Use short cable, if possible and fully charged battery. Change USB to toher and reboot PC, in most cases it will help.

I hear about some kind of RAP4 phones, which was have such problems, but I not found any phone with such problem to test, all, who have phones on hands - can't sell them, so, I can't recommend anything, expect FBUS.

You can use 2 line cable and UFS as interface to try read log via FBUS.
